The nozzles are coated to reduce scaling. They might be brass underneath the coating. Meh The telescoping stand is a little flimsy. The legs are a little short, creating a less-than-sturdy structure. The legs will fold when lightly bumped. Another 12-24 inches of height would improve the product's intended performance. Negative The fail is the hose-to-Aeromist connector at the bottom of the stand. The connector appears to be brass. Inside, the connector has a debris screen and a rubber gasket. But, somewhere along the line, all fail to work together properly. The Aeromist delivers unwanted water geysers -- not mists -- almost straight up the stand. Tightening, replacing the gasket and screen, and, adding Teflon tape did not fix the... I have always liked misting products and own quite a variety of them but this is my favorite. It is so simple and yet gives plenty of mist. The set up is so simple compared to stringing the lines required for some misting products and it covers a rather substantial area.It is height adjustable and easy to point in any direction. It does have a tendency to leak at the hose connection but I've experienced the same problem with many other products and the ease of set up and portability of this product outweigh the small leak. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful Leaky but fixable, This review is from: Aero Mist 52400 Portable Misting Tower (Kitchen) I purchased several of these units and they all leaked at the extension ferrule and where the misting head attaches to the stand. There were also leaks at several of the misters where they screwed in. I spoke to customer service and they said they were unsure why the units were so leaky. I suggested it might have been the O-rings and they were kind enough to offer replacements. As for the head where it attaches to the extension arm, they did not know why the threads leaked. Since I wanted the issue to resolved quickly I picked up slighly thicker O-rings and teflon tape from Home Depot.For the misters I swapped out the existing rings with size 60 rings (available in plumbing). The misters still drip from the front but not from where they screw in as before. This was a big help. The 1/16" extension ferrule ring was replaced with a 3/32" ring.
